Graded Teak Lumber
Teak Lumber

Teak lumber is characterized by its density, durability, strength and alluring honey-gold wood grain. It’s also uniquely water-resistant and resistant to pests such as termites, mold and mildew.

Our slow growth plantations offer a reliable and conflict-free source of beautiful teak lumber without contributing to the destruction of Southeast Asia’s tropical forests.

The Quarter System
The quarter system refers to the rough thickness of a board in ¼” increments. Rough thickness refers to the thickness of a board before it was surfaced, or planed. For example, a 4/4 board was 1” thick before it was surfaced.

Additionally, planed thickness varies depending on the type of surfacing used in the milling process. There are two standard types of surfacing:

  • S1S – A board that has only been surfaced on one side.
  • S2S – A board that has been surfaced on two sides.
  • S4S – A board that has been surfaced on all 4 sides.
